Selected data and study scope

This dataset contains bulk RNA-seq data from Mus musculus, sampled from arcuate nucleus. The default comparison examines gene expression in Inaccessible food cues relative to Nonedible object.

The explorer includes 1 track and 1 comparison for this dataset.

The default track, Arcuate nucleus, includes 6 Nonedible object samples and 6 Inaccessible food cues samples in this comparison. These are analysis sample counts. Check the source for biological replication and pooling.

Interpretation and limitations

This preparation profiles ribosome-associated RNA from the targeted cells. Treat the result as a translatome measurement. It does not represent total RNA from every cell in the anatomical region.

Expression values use log2(CPM + 1). Keep this unit when exporting or comparing values. Values on other normalization scales are not directly interchangeable.

Evidence and verification

Pipeline QC passed. Mouse POMC response to food cues; all 1 registered tracks and 1 comparisons

Experimental design review needed. Mouse POMC response to food cues; all 1 registered tracks and 1 comparisons

Author concordance not assessed. Author effect concordance has not been assessed

Pipeline QC can pass while experimental-design limitations remain. Read both assessments before interpreting results.

Open the dataset in the Explorer to read each check and its evidence. Author concordance compares effects for matched genes. It does not require identical author P values or FDR.

Source study

Six POMC-RiboTag mice per condition after a 16-hour fast. Only the 5,764 genes in the deposited CPM matrix are available; results and pathway coverage are restricted to that gene universe. The matrix is summed on the linear scale for duplicate symbols and transformed as log2(CPM+1) for limma. Counts are not reconstructed from CPM. Cage identifiers are not deposited.

The original study authors produced these data. HypoExplorer displays selected data and analyses that may cover only part of the study.
