Mouse mediobasal hypothalamus — maternal emulsifier exposure
Mus musculus · Whole hypothalamus · bulk RNA-seq
Selected data and study scope
This dataset contains bulk RNA-seq data from Mus musculus, sampled from whole hypothalamus. The default comparison examines gene expression in Maternal emulsifiers (1% CMC + 1% P80) relative to Maternal control.
The explorer includes 1 track and 1 comparison for this dataset.
The default track, Mediobasal hypothalamus, includes 4 Maternal control samples and 5 Maternal emulsifiers (1% CMC + 1% P80) samples in this comparison. These are analysis sample counts. Check the source for biological replication and pooling.
Interpretation and limitations
The measurement combines expression from the cells in the tissue sample. A difference in tissue expression alone does not identify which cell type contributes to it.
Expression values use log2 CPM (TMM-normalized). Keep this unit when exporting or comparing values. Values on other normalization scales are not directly interchangeable.
Evidence and verification
Pipeline QC passed. Mouse mediobasal hypothalamus — maternal emulsifier exposure; all 1 registered contrasts on default track mbh
Experimental design passed. Mouse mediobasal hypothalamus — maternal emulsifier exposure; all 1 registered contrasts on default track mbh
Author concordance passed. Matched gene effects; maternal_emulsifier_vs_control. P values and FDR are contextual. Numerical acceptance: strong correlation and matched-gene direction.
Pipeline QC can pass while experimental-design limitations remain. Read both assessments before interpreting results.
Open the dataset in the Explorer to read each check and its evidence. Author concordance compares effects for matched genes. It does not require identical author P values or FDR.

P21 male mediobasal-hypothalamus RNA-seq comparing five offspring from maternal 1% CMC plus 1% P80 litters with four control-litter offspring. The official gene matrix is retained on its author-defined TMM-normalized log2-CPM scale; one blank-ID feature is quarantined (PMID 37616199; GSE231769)
